The journal will also be free to access for the first two years of publication (2016-2017) – a commitment from both organisations to ensure maximum exposure for authors. The first issue will be published in 2016, and submissions are now being invited. The journal will focus on understanding molecular properties, behaviour and interactions, and how this can be applied to the design of processes, to solve global technological problems. The first in its field, Molecular Systems Design & Engineering will bring together selected disciplines biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, computational science, and materials science. The journal will be truly interdisciplinary, unique and high-impact, and now both organisations are calling on researchers and academics around the world, to submit their work to be considered for publishing in the inaugural issue.

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) the global professional membership organisation for chemical engineers, and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) the world’s leading chemistry community for excellence in chemical sciences, have announced the launch of Molecular Systems Design & Engineering. The journal is the first in its field, and will be freely accessible in 20, to maximise exposure for researchers. The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), have joined forces to launch a new journal, Molecular Systems Design & Engineering.
